Rev Dr. Greg Smith was born and raised in Arlington, TX and has been a resident of Arlington for most of his life. Pastor Greg is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. He earned an undergraduate degree in ministry from Dallas Christian College, a Master of Divinity degree from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree at Amridge University. More recently his continuing education has focused on addressing the economic challenges of ministry in the twenty-first century, including earning an MBA from TX Women’s University and a fellowship in social enterprise. Additionally, Greg has completed interim ministry training through

Interim Ministry Network and Clergy Leadership Institute.

Pastor Greg and his wife, Susan, have been married for over 25 years. Before coming to ALC, Greg served at nine congregations in Texas & Florida, taught religion to undergraduates, and helped several congregations provide quality healthcare to underserved populations. He also continues to serve as CEO of White Rock Center of Hope.
